The “Alaskan Avenger,” a victim of molestation and abuse as a child, is accused of vengefully attacking pedophiles with a hammer, using the online registry to find sex offenders.
According to Alfred NG of NY Daily News, using Anchorage’s public online sex offender registry to locate up to three offenders, Jason Vukovich allegedly broke into his victims’ homes and bashed in their heads with a hammer in June.
NG says, “One of his victims landed on the sex offender registry 10 years ago, after pleading no contest to attempted sexual abuse of a minor.”
“He said, ‘I’m an avenging angel, I’m going to mete out justice for the people you hurt,’” Wesley Demarest, one of the people Vukovich tracked down, told a local news station.
Police said Vukovich was arrested the same night he allegedly hammered in Demarest’s skull. Police also found a notebook with his victims’ names listed in it, with addresses he found from the registry. Vukovich, 41, is also accused of robbing the three victims after his vengeful beatings.
On the website, users can find sex offenders and child kidnappers through a database by name, zip code, and city, or through a map with details of the person’s address and photos, along with conviction dates, and employer’s information.
NG states, “the sex-offender avenger revealed he had been molested and beaten by his adoptive father when he was a child, he wrote in a letter from jail to the Anchorage Dispatch News.”
“’What I can say at this time is that after being physically and mentally abused by a predator, my life was forever changed,’ Vukovich wrote in his letter.
“He said he targeted sexual offenders in hopes of supporting children ‘in pursuit of their dreams,’ writing that kids should be able to live ‘without the threat of pedophiles lingering around them.’”
Vukovich plead not guilty to the charges of robbery and assault. He is being held on a $100,000 bail, and scheduled to return to court on Oct. 17. He faces up to 35 years in prison if convicted.

Rex, let me ask you a question. Have you ever been molested? Cause I have. And I think this man has done every child that these people have molested a favor. Most of these people get away with having their freedom after some jail time. I’ve dealt with the nightmares, the ptsd, the depression to where I want to kill myself because I feel discusting, to not trusting men. I’m one of the lucky ones, who got counseling and met a Man who helped me get through it. Yeah he probably should not have stolen from them, but yes beat the shit out of every single one of those bastards. Kids DO NOT deserve to be put through that. Any of it period.

Jen, you describe many of the feelings I had about this same issue when I was younger. All it takes is a news story to remind me and I find myself getting angry about it all over again. Child molesters should be executed in my humble opinion. It is absolutely animal behavior.

What about child molesters themselves? Have you or anyone here supporting Vukovich ever considered that they were the victims of abuse themselves?? That’s why they do what they do! Because they too were sexually abused when they were young children. As someone who was raped at 15 and impregnated. I can tell you that I have dealt with this trauma my whole life thus far and being reminded of it everyday only makes it worse. This guy is a hero! Rex says that maybe these child molesters dealt with it themselves making this guy no hero. Please, plenty of us have experienced this abuse and haven’t gone out to hurt children. Instead we choose to protect children. If you can’t see that then you’re the problem. What this guy did I wish the state would do so that this guy won’t have to go to jail. Sex offenders get off on light terms just to go back to society and do it all over again. To stop the cycle there needs to be severe punishment. Not just sitting lavishly in prison.

ALL child abusers should be executed immediately ! No jail or prison time with 3 squares a day and free cable and education. The world needs to rid of such scum and then there will not be anyone who was molested when they were little. So we CAN end the cycle, see!

This man deserves a medal I was a victim of sexual abuse and rape from very young till I was at least 8 … I hate what happened in my past but I live with it and all that matters is I protect my children and I have spoken to them about stranger danger as all children should know … I do struggle with putting my children in any gymnastics or clubs etc without me as I find so hard to trust which I am gonna be getting help with to have some trust as I can’t paint all men with a bad brush .. I wanna shake this mans hand and say thankyou and for trying to protect our children I don’t think he should be convicted at all and for 35 years when a filthy peodofile only gets about 3 years this is a joke … let this man go I think he has done good in trying to protect children and keeping the demons away

Have you ever thought that some children purposely lie to get men in trouble? I know men whose lives have been destroyed by children because they were falsely accused of raping them. There was the case where a successful 36 year-old businessman was accused by a 9 year-old boy (his neighbour’s young son) of sexually messing with him, and the man got charged. His reputation suffered and his career as a businessman was ruined all because the boy falsely accused him of rape. The boy didn’t like the gentleman and did the worst thing possible to ruin him, which he ultimately did.

He is a good man with a huge heart. Thank god no one was killed!!! As much as I hate to say it. I just hired an amazing lawyer in Anchorage that is now taking over Jason’s court case and he won’t do any kind of crazy time that they are trying to get. The sick bastards that rape children and take their whole lives away .. that btw will NEVER heal!!!! Should be sitting right where my man is! Justice system is so imperfect at best. However, I promise you I will see to it justice prevails in this case.

Everyone has made a statement regarding this person’s action. I too have seen the cruelty of what a man or a woman will do to another with little to no reason for their actions . No one has the right to be the Judge . What about those afflicted? I did not seek an avenger. Would it have stopped the perversion attack on me? No. Our Creator knows what happens when you are violated . Let justice take control and make sure to have justice be done. If dine more than once. Make them a Eunice or destroy the sexual organs. But most of all they should be placed in a quarantine area. Rehabilitated . Do this like a deep sea diver. Before they can go on tip of the water , they go into a decompression room. These offenders need to be decompress to a more productive person of society.

I honestly think that this man should have a fair trial, let the jury sit back and think about this for a minute, and anyone else who has the power to stand up for this guy. Think of the offenders and how a offenders mind cycle works. They aren’t out to do anyone any good, they are predators. They will do whatever it takes to get what they want, to them they could care less how anyone else feels, as long as they get what they’re out to get, damn straight they’ll be happy. The way the world is today, we’re too scared to stand up to our predators. What do we do? We call the police, yeah if found guilty, they will be prosecuted. But, however..What about those that get away with it? What if this person is your worst fear? Better yet, what if this person was a friend or even family? What do you do to a person that has a special place in your heart? Eventually you’ll burst, and then that’s when you take these kind of problems into your own hands and do what should have been done long before you became mentally and physically broken. We can’t let or predators ride a free life, because in the end..They think, well…At least I’ll be taken care of, yeah they have a guilty conscience, but some may use that to trick their minds into thinking that they are mentally ill and because they’re “mentally ill” that just gives them another reason to think that its all ok. I think what this man did was what he believed was right. It’s true the justice system is a complete joke. Child rapist should be hung to death!!! At least he got rid of some of the pedophiles not all but a couple now some kids can feel safe. Children now a days are getting raped and beaten on a daily from what I have seen on the news or paper. I also have been a victim of sexual assaults! To the people who haven’t been you have no idea how much all of us would like for someone to do something like this to the person/people who assaulted us. And pedifiles and rapists have no excuse for what they have done. Why is it okay for them to assulted someone else just because they have been assulted themselves. Have all of the men/women who commented on here saying they have been assulted, assulted anyone else. More than likely not, just because something has been done to you does not give you the right to do it to someone else. I’m not saying what this man did was right considering there are people who are on that registry for accidental incidents or for instance peeing in public and accidentally being seen and someone makes a huge deal out of it. But there are people on there who did very bad things and got out of jail or were only put in jail for a short period of time. I can’t imagine the relief those people’s victims would feel if someone did something about it.

I know one sex affender who actually didn’t get any jail time all he got was 3 years probation an to beat it all is not on magens law because he was charged before that came out which is a crock of shit. I believe you should be on there regardless when u where convicted. Pennsylvania laws are for the pedifiles an not the victims. Trust me when I say I am not aloud to enter that state because I would give to him what he truly deserves an that is tortured like he tortured his victims. A few would go down. Just sayin’

I think that this whole situation is a catch 22. The guy who busted skulls was insane, induced by a very traumatic series of events that creates a vicious circle as a definable formula could exist to determine the number of abused that become abusers. Things should change as not to favor the abuser over the abused. The abused should be taught to forgive the abuser (not for the abusers sake, for their own sanity as hatered of this kind when allowed to fester often turns into insanity and an abused person does not deserve lifelong punishment for something they had no control over). It is easy to decide to kill an abuser…and theropy doesn’t work because it is the wrong theropy.

As a victim of sexual abuse starting at a very young age by my own disgusting grandfather, it is my opinion that this man is a true hero!! He truly is an avenging angel and he should be set free to kill off the rest of these sick pedophiles in society!! Because of my experiences being sexually abused child, I suffer from Major Depressive Disorder, PTSD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Sleep Paralysis and Night Terrors!! I say we start a petition to have this hero set free!! Screw those damn pedophiles!! They don’t deserve to live!!

At least he will get the therapy he needs, as well as a haircut. But seriously, I understand the urge for revenge as a survivor of childhood sexual assault and sex trafficking. I think pedos all should be castrated and have their hands and feet amputated with a giant CF branded onto their foreheads. But, in lieu of these rather draconian measures, I would suggest that forgetting the past is condemning yourself to continued torment and future victimization. To forgive yourself for being the victim is a HUGE step forward and very life affirming. The need for revenge and to make soneone else suffer reduces us to the perpetrator end of the abuse spectrum. Now I know that I sure don’t EVER want to cross that line.

I to know how it feels to have your life destroyed as a child by this. But I don’t think he is a hero I understand wanting to protect others but was he or just trying to hurt others because he was hurt. And not everyone one the list did it my cousin went to the bathroom outside there was no one around and a cop came by now he is on the list so if they did do it and Bragg about then they should have the same thing done to them in jail.

From birth I should have been taken into care but social services didn’t think so ! From the age of four (when I met my step father) I was abuse in every way my my birth mother and my step dad and uncle but my “mother ” didn’t abuse me she just knew about it ! My mother got 2 year and the men got 18year each but that isn’t the enough! Think of the flash back I get ! I don’t want that I’m 22 and beginning my life !
